Mr. Hendee most recently served as director of VA Northern Indiana Healthcare System, where he also previously served as the acting associate director. Prior to joining VA, Mr. Hendee was a senior manager for a managed care organization located in Chicago, where he developed capitated outpatient radiology networks around the country.
Mr. Hendee received a bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University and earned a master's degree in health services administration from the University of Detroit.
Mr. Hendee is board certified in health care management and a 2004 graduate of both the Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program and Leadership VA. He is also a member of the 2002 inaugural class of VA's Executive Career Field Development Program and was University of Detroit/Mercy’s 2004 Alumnus of the Year.
