Butler - October 25
VISN 4 Network Director Michael E. Moreland visited VA Butler Healthcare for the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly constructed Domiciliary.
Altoona - September 26
VISN 4 Network Director Michael E. Moreland visited the James E. Van Zandt Medical Center in Altoona September 26 and was given the grand tour of the services the center offers Veterans.
Butler - September 6
VISN 4 Network Director Michael Moreland, along with VA Butler Healthcare Director John Gennaro, President Judge Thomas Doerr, and Judge Timothy McCune signed a Memo of Understanding to begin a new Veterans Treatment Court in Butler County.
Butler - August 10
VISN 4 Director Michael Moreland, along with VA Butler Healthcare Director John Gennaro and U.S. Congressman Mike Kelly, hosted a town hall meeting to introduce the new Health Care Center to Veterans.
Butler - June 22
VISN 4 Director Michael Moreland and VA Butler Healthcare Director John Gennaro hosted a town hall meeting for all VA Butler Healthcare employees to share information about the new Health Care Center that will offer a state-of-the-art outpatient clinic environment for Veterans and staff.
Erie - June 20
VISN 4 Director Michael Moreland traveled to Erie, Pa. to visit the VA Medical Center there and meet with Veterans Service Organization representatives from all over the state.
Wilmington - June 4
Meeting with Veteran Service Organizations (VSO) and Veterans within the primary service area of the Wilmington VA Medical Center, VISN 4 Network Director Michael Moreland and Acting Director for WVAMC Joanne Krumberger responded to many Veterans' questions.
Pittsburgh - May 2
VISN 4 Director Michael Moreland helped VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System dedicate the new $75.8 million Consolidation Building that seamlessly integrates behavioral health and primary care.
Coatesville/Philadelphia/Wilmington - April 11-13
VISN 4 Network Director Michael Moreland joined VA Secretary Eric Shinseki as he traveled to VA facilities in Coatesville, Philadelphia and Wilmington to meet with leadership, tour the facilities, and interact with Veterans.
Butler - March 16
Mr. Moreland made a special visit to VA Butler Healthcare to meet with Veterans and new medical center director John Gennaro. The visit also included a tour of the new domiciliary scheduled to open later this year.
Philadelphia - February 9
VISN 4 Network Director Michael Moreland traveled to Philadelphia VA Medical Center to meet with graduating employees of the School at Work program and to tour the new dialysis facility.
Coatesville - February 8
VISN 4 Network Director Michael Moreland traveled to Coatesville VA Medical Center to meet with employees and participate in the director's town hall meeting.
Wilmington - February 7
VISN 4 Network Director Michael Moreland traveled to Wilmington VA Medical Center to tour the new Emergency Department, the new clinical addition and fitness center.
Clarksburg - January 29
Mr. Moreland made a special visit to the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, West Virginia to attend a retirement celebration for William Cox, Clarksburg VA Medical Center Director.
Harrisburg/Lebanon - January 27
VISN 4 Network Director Michael Moreland traveled to Harrisburg, Pa. to thank court officials for the partnership they share with the Lebanon VA Medical Center during the opening of the Dauphin County Veterans Court. Mr. Moreland also spoke to 500 members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars during their annual Mid-winter Conference.
Wilkes-Barre - January 26
VISN 4 Network Director Michael Moreland traveled to Wilkes-Barre VAMC where he participated in a Veterans Advisory Committee meeting and the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new cardiac catheterization lab and hemodialysis unit.
Wilmington - January 5
VISN 4 Network Director Michael Moreland traveled to Wilmington VA Medical Center to discuss post-traumatic stress disorder care and outreach with Sen. Tom Carper (D-DE).
Mr. Moreland and Sen. Carper also met with Wilmington VA Medical Center Director Chuck Dorman and other members of the VAMC leadership.
