Local Recovery Coordinator

Local Recovery Coordinators make sure VISN 4 delivers the best and most effective behavioral health services for Veterans. While their actual responsibilities vary somewhat at each facility, the coordinators:

  • serve as a resource for mental health issues
  • advise their medical center on better ways to deliver mental health services
  • work to decrease the stigma that surrounds mental illness in their communities
  • improve Veterans' quality of life by fostering a culture of recovery.
