3D Printing

Three-dimensional printers use different materials to produce all varieties of objects – from stoneware vases and chocolate cakes to customized parts for advanced wheelchair technology. Watch how VISN 4's Human Engineering Research Laboratories is using 3D printing to help them get new technology into the hands of Veterans quickly. (Run time: 5 minutes)

Telehealth

VISN 4 is using modern technology to provide patient-centered care in non-traditional locations, such as a Veteran's home, school, or local clinic. Telehealth reduces the time Veterans need to spend in the hospital, and increases access to services without requiring long drives for patients. Women's Health

Individualized, compassionate, and thorough care is available to all women Veterans throughout VISN 4. Veterans Mary and Prudence each shared their success stories to spread the word about how working with a women's health clinician can help change your life. (Mary's story is about four minutes; Prudence's is about six.)

Mental Health

"It's Worth It To Me" tells the story of three Veterans – Michael, Natalie, and Ron – who have relied on VA to recover and cope with mental health-related issues, including post-traumatic stress, military sexual trauma, substance use disorder, suicide prevention, and homelessness. Rocky Bleier, Vietnam Veteran and former Pittsburgh Steeler, narrated the documentary. (Each story is approximately 20 minutes long.)
